Inside Ritika and Vishal's Beautiful Intimate Wedding

Weddings got smaller and smaller in light of the pandemic. As we bid adieu to larger-than-life ceremonies in 2020, we started saying hello to celebrating love with our inner circles. Ritika and Vishal's wedding celebration was no different.

Their cute love story is enough to keep you smiling all day. Ritika and Vishal met each other for the first time in common tuition. It started off as a clichéd child-like crush with Ritika asking Vishal for a pen, before it turned into a full-blown romance with unlimited chats. From exchanging books and phone numbers to stealing each other’s hearts, their chemistry is full of fun, practical jokes and weird names for each other. It is what they call their language of love. After a long wait of seven years across countries, they finally tied the knot amidst the pandemic. "I have learned whatever I have learned of Love only from Vishal," says Ritika.


After numerous cancellations due to the pandemic, the couple chose to get married in a gathering of only 12 of their closest friends and family members. "Planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic has been one of the toughest things to have happened to us. We both come from a huge circle of family and friends. It was a tough decision to have our biggest and most important day without the presence of some of our closest people. The only thing that made the planning process easy was the endlessly accommodating list of vendors we had on board. They were such a strong support system that were adjusting to any last-minute changes that we had to make.  If it is one thing that this world situation has taught us is that love conquers all. After 7 years of long-distance, we knew that it was most important to have the wedding whether it was with 10 or 100 people. Only our first families were able to attend the wedding though I must say it was one of the most beautiful days of my life," shares Ritika. It is evident that the newly-weds have become more accepting of the idea of small scale wedding.

The wedding celebrations were truly breath-taking with Ritika shining in a gorgeous pastel pink Sabyasachi lehenga. Glamming up the outfit further was her jewellery, a large polki set with pastel green precious stones that complemented the colour of lehenga perfectly for a day wedding. A dash of sparkle in her makeup, well-defined eyeliner and soft pink lips worked as the perfect finishing touch. Her low bun with gajra florals added immense elegance to the overall look.


Vishal looked dapper and dashing in an all-white suit with a sherwani. Adding a luxe factor to the ensemble were gold buttons and gold thread work detailing on the bandhgala and brown leather brogues.
