Celebrity Journalist and award winning Radio Presenter Anushka Arora recently tied the knot with her long-term fiancé, Aditya, in a lavish ceremony in Delhi, India. From her Mehndi and Sangeet functions to her wedding day, Anushka looked absolutely stunning in each outfit, all of which was curated by London’s multi-designer store, Nikaza Asian Couture. In a candid conversation, Anushka shares with Khush her experience in finding her dream bridal wardrobe.
Talk us through each of the three looks for the functions:
Mehndi
"For my Mehndi ceremony, I wanted something really fun and colourful as it was a daytime function, yet at the same time, I needed my outfit to be comfortable and lightweight so I can dance freely. It was then when the lovely Jasmine at Nikaza Asian Couture asked me to try on this beautiful green floral gown by Mahima Mahajan and the rest, as they say, is history!”
Sangeet
“When I first walked into Jasmine’s studio, I saw the blue lehenga on the mannequin and instantly fell in love with it! I knew I wanted to wear this but wasn’t sure for which event. My fiancé & I then decided to keep the colour theme of our Sangeet to blue and gold so this lehenga can fit perfectly. It was the best decision ever as I truly felt like a Bollywood princess”
Wedding day
“This one turned out to be one of my favourites. It was everything I had imagined for my dream outfit to be. Subtle, royal and comfortable all rolled into one!”
How did you decide on which looks to go for?
“I went to Nikaza Asian Couture with an open mind as I wanted Jasmine’s input in selecting my outfits. My main objective was to feel happy and comfortable in what I would be wearing on all functions. Whilst I kept an open mind to trying out different looks, I was certain in one thing; my wedding day lehenga had to be red!”
Which was your favourite look and why?
“I loved all my looks but my most favourite has got to be my wedding day look! I feel a Lehenga Choli is the most quintessential look for any traditional Indian bride. I felt truly royal on my wedding day.”
Why did you choose all your outfits from Nikaza?

Jasmine made me feel so comfortable and confident in the initial discussion that I didn’t feel the need to go anywhere else.
